Islamabad: Noor Alam Khan, a dissident PTI lawmaker, and PPP leaders Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, Faisal Karim Kundi and Nadeem Afzal Chan got into a physical clash with an unidentified elderly man-- said to be a PTI worker -- at a hotel in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Footage shared through various social media accounts showed Khokar and company approaching the elderly amid a state of commotion in what appears to be a dining hall.

Kundi was seen picking up a glass from a nearby table and hurling its contents on the elderly, who responded in kind by throwing an object back at the PPP politician.

As the elderly tried to grab onto something else to fling, Khokhar managed to close in on him and delivered a punch to the head.

The elderly was thrown off balance and floored as PTI dissident Khan joined in and tried to grab hold of him before the two parties were separated.

Noor Alam complained in written to the Secretariat police station that he was at the hotel with his friends, including Khokhar, Chan, Kundi and Sheikh Waqas Akram when an unidentified man began abusing him and threatened to kill him.E

Eyewitnesses told media that a PTI worker abused the MNA in Pashto and was told by Khan not to do so as it was a “family event”.

Onlookers further said that despite the MNA’s appeal to maintain decorum, the PTI worker continued to hurl abuses at the lawmaker.

The eyewitness said that when the PTI worker did not stop hurling abuses, Noor lost his cool and punched him. This led to a scuffle between the two. They added that PPP leaders Khokhar and Kundi also beat up the PTI worker.
