In Punjab, wedding guests will be served one dish from now on.


Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz on Tuesday directed the concerned authorities to strictly implement one-dish orders at wedding ceremonies in the province.
The Punjab administration has decided to pull the cord on extravagant weddings, allowing only one dish at a wedding.
While presiding over a meeting, Hamza stated that any violation of one-dish law would not be tolerated and that violators would be dealt with according to the law.
Punjab Chief Minister stated, “The move will bring relief to the white-clad class and middle class,” adding that he will personally examine the implementation of one-dish orders daily.
He further added that the government will take every measure to facilitate general public’s life.
The meeting was attended by Abdul Aleem Khan, Sardar Awais Leghari, Ch Iqbal, Bilal Yasin, Kh Imran Nazir, Ramazan Siddique Bhatti, the chief secretary of Punjab, the inspector general of police, and other officers.
