Dollar slightly strengthens against Pak rupee
The decline in foreign currency flows and remittances supported the greenback
Karachi: The US dollar continued gaining value against the Pakistani rupee on second consecutive day on Thursday.
Lack of inflows and a decline in remittances were the factors that supported the the greenback.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the rupee closed at 218.38 after depreciating Rs0.05 or 0.23% against the dollar.
The local currency recorded its first depreciation on Wednesday in the past two weeks.
