The PML-N leader issues these directives while presiding over a meeting to review pace of development on projects being carried out under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor in Islamabad on Wednesday.


Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal on Wednesday directed all the Ministries to prepare a report on socio-economic impacts of CPEC projects on the country on the occasion of completion of ten years of this mega project.
He issued these directives while presiding over a meeting to review pace of development on projects being carried out under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor in Islamabad on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Ahsan Iqbal said during his recent visit to China, both sides agreed to hold meeting of the Joint Working Group after every two months.
The Minister said government is taking all possible steps to provide security and safety to the investment under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
The meeting reviewed progress on ML-1 and Karachi Circular Railways and also deliberated upon different projects including up gradation of Yarak-D I Khan- Zhob Highway, Mirpur-Muzaffarabad road, Mansehra-Babusar Tunnel and Alternate Alignment of Motorway connecting Karachi with Hyderabad.
