Islamabad: Accountability court in Islamabad Tuesday granted bail to Bushra Bibi till May 31—wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan— in transfer of 190 million pounds for Al-Qadir trust case.
According to details, Judge Muhammad Bashir heard the case and approved her bail application on the basis of surety bond of Rs0.5 million.
The court ordered her to sign the surety bond and remarked that it is enough that you appeared before the court, keep sitting with Imran Khan.
Her lawyer Khawaja Haris argued that Bushra Bibi did not receive any notice sent from the court.
It also issue the notice to the investigation officer.
It is pertinent to note that there is an allegation of corruption of 190 million pounds against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
In the past few days, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) ad arrested Khan in the same case, after which there were arson and attacks on military installations and places in the country.
Today Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi will go to NAB Rawalpindi office after judicial complex. However, the former prime minister has also expressed his fear of arrest today.
Earlier today, Imran and Bushra left from their residence in Zaman Park Lahore for hearing in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) court for the case along with a convoy of members of Insaf Lawyers Wing and personal police security.
On the other hand, the former prime minister will also appear in Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) for hearing of other cases filed against.
Strict security measures have been observed by Islamabad administration in the premises of the court as no irrelevant people are allowed to enter the court.
