Imran thanks govt for putting his name on ECL

Lahore: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan thanked government for putting his name on the Exit Control List (ECL) as he has no plans to travel abroad.

Turning to Twitter, he wrote: “I neither have any properties or businesses abroad nor even a bank account outside the country”.

Imran said if and when he gets an opportunity for a holiday, it will be in the northern mountains as it is his favorite place on earth.

Earlier, names of more than 600 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders including chairman Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi have been added to the no-fly list.

According to media reports, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) stated that names of more than 600 PTI leaders have been added to the no-fly list for their involvement in the May 9 arson and encirclement incidents.

It is also reported that names of PTI leaders have been included in the Provincial National Identification List (PNIL) of FIA to prevent them from going abroad.

Other than Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, Murad Saeed, Malika Bukhari, Fawad Chaudhry, Hammad Azhar, Qasim Suri, Asad Qaiser, Yasmin Rashid and Mian Aslam Iqbal have also been named in the no-fly list.

It is also allegedly reported that some of the PTI officials tried to fly abroad in last 3 days who were stopped at the airports. D and sent by secret agencies. Police, Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and secret agencies sent their names to prevent them from traveling abroad.
