Five people lost their lives and as many as 12 people were injured in the tragic incident


Jehlum: A cylinder blast triggered a severe explosion at a three-story hotel on GT Road in Jhelum on Sunday.
At least five people were killed and countless others were injured in the tragedy. According to Rescue 1122 sources, 35 people became trapped under the debris created by the massive blast during the commotion.
Rescue teams comprised of police, civil defense workers, and civilians are currently working to clear the wreckage and securely evacuate the injured victims from the structure.
Further the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and District Police Officer (DPO) have assumed control of the relief operations in the aftermath of this devastating event. They are keeping an eye on things and ensuring that the rescue teams are working together effectively.
A state of emergency has been proclaimed at the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in order to adequately handle the situation due to the increase of injured people.
