Possibility of an increase in gas prices after electricity

According to sources, the price of gas for residential consumers using a single burner will see an increase of Rs. 415 per MMBTU (Metric Million British Thermal Units), while for residential consumers using a double burner, there will be an additional cost of Rs. 417.23 per MMBTU.
Pakistan's Ministry of Energy has indicated that there will be a significant increase in the rates of RLNG (Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas) by retail suppliers, and subsidy on domestic LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) will be discontinued.
Natural gas will be provided to domestic consumers at market rates.
Officials have clarified that the aim is to avoid burdening residential consumers using up to 400 cubic meters and ensuring that they are not affected by the increased prices.
The assessment of gas tariffs is ongoing, and any adjustments will be made while considering the interests of both consumers and the energy sector.
