King’s Party to face PPP’s challenge in fast-approaching general elections: Bilawal
The PPP chairman says conveys confidence in his party's success in both the general elections and local bodies polls, emphasizing their capability to compete with Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
Karachi: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari asserted that the King's Party is poised to confront challenges in the upcoming general elections.
Addressing an audience at Safari Park in Karachi, Bilawal conveyed confidence in his party's success in both the general elections and local bodies polls, emphasizing their capability to compete with Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
Drawing attention to the party's triumph in local bodies elections, especially in Karachi, Bilawal expressed optimism for the PPP's success on Feb 8. He recalled receiving a call from General (r) Bajwa two days prior to the no-confidence motion, urging its withdrawal.
Bilawal disclosed his efforts to propel Shehbaz Sharif into the position of Prime Minister.
Expressing concerns over the economic and political crises, he underscored the significance of Sindh's rights and addressed issues related to resource mismanagement.
In his criticism of PTI's historical stance on democracy, Bilawal affirmed the commitment to holding elections on Feb 8 and advocated for a robust approach towards the Tehreek-e-Taliban within the context of Afghanistan.
Regarding disloyalty within political parties, Bilawal cautioned that those abandoning their parties would face consequences in the elections. He disapproved of slogans in Punjab favoring bureaucrats, stating that PTI now recognizes the importance of the constitution and law, emphasizing the necessity for a collective learning experience.
The PPP Chairman also pledged to enhance facilities for Karachi's citizens, particularly in terms of travel and recreation. He cited the positive impact of Dino Safari Park on KMC's income.
