PML-N, IPP reach seat adjustments for key Lahore constituencies

Lahore: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) on Tuesday reached an agreement on seat adjustments for key Lahore constituencies in preparation for the 2024 general election, as reported by sources.

The sources said that both PML-N and IPP could not reach agreement regarding seat adjustment of Jahangir Khan Tarin. They said that the PML-N leader Siddique Baloch did not withdraw in the favor of Jahnagir Khan Tarin.

It has been disclosed that the PML-N would extend its support to IPP leaders Abdul Aleem Khan and Aun Chaudhry for two National Assembly seats in Lahore. Specifically, Aleem Khan is set to contest from NA 117, and Aun Chaudhry will vie for NA 128, both with the backing of PML-N.

Besides it, the PML-N is introducing its candidate, Hafiz Noman, for NA 129, replacing Mehr Ishtiaq, according to insider information.
