The PML-N president announces to build e-libraries in every park of Lahore and to build swimming pools at sports complexes if they came into the power again.

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appealed to the people of Lahore to cast votes for “Sher” [lion] on the day of election.
“You people should cast vote to lion,” said the PML-N president, while urging people not to do it wisely as no fraud could work on that day.
Shehbaz Sharif lauded the workers for taking part in the power show held at Lahore’s Gulshan Ravi area in PP-172 amid rain. Rana Mashhood and other senior party leaders, large number of workers and supporters were present there.
He said, “This gathering is an evidence of our party’s victory on election day,”.
Shehbaz Sharif said that they heard a big news while quoting the report of Transparency International. He said that the recent report showed that the corruption went down during the PDM government instead of the PTI’s government. The corruption, he said, went high during the PTI government.

Referring to Bilawal’s recent challenge to open debate to his elder brother Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif said that there is lack of facilities in Sindh schools.
“Punjab’s hospitals, especially the hospitals in Lahore, Bahawalpur and Rajanpur show the performance of both PML-N governments,” he said while comparing his government’s performance with the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) in Sindh.
“Leading a 13 parties government is a not an easy task. I always ensure merit whenever I found any chance to serve the people. I built Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI). They [PTI] destroyed it. That was a dark period as the development projects introduced by Nawaz Sharif were destroyed,” said Shehbaz Sharif.
The PML-N president asked the people to vote lion on February 8.
“Eight years ago, a road was being built near Mall road and I said at that time that I will turn this city into Paris. This statement landed me into trouble as the people made fun of him. But you are witness that Lahore became Paris under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif,” he claimed.
He regretted over what he said the massive loss caused to Lahore during the previous government.
“LWMC was damaged. The roads were dilapidated. But now if you people help Nawaz win this election the old clean Lahore will return,” he promised.
He also made a promised to provide X-ray, CT scans and medicine to the public free of cost.
“As Nawaz Sharif provided laptops to the youth during the last tenure they will do the same if elected to power. We will also provide vocational training and would produce trained youth to earn livelihood with respect. The youth is a big capital of this country. I promise we will fight for the well-being of the young generation,” he added.
He also promised to build sports complex in every provincial constituency of Lahore.
“We will also build swimming pools in Lahore like I built in the past under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif,” said Shehbaz Sharif.
E-libraries, he said, would be built in every park of the city, adding that they would also provide tea, Pakoray like they did at Greater Iqbal Park, so they could enjoy good read as well as quality tea and Pakoras,”.
Sarcastically, Shehbaz Sharif said that “Arrow with another point will become Sher,”. He stated that they would continue the journey of progress and development if they came into power this time.
