Washington DC: The United States has once again demanded an investigation into allegations of rigging during the general elections in Pakistan took place on February 8, 2024.
US State Department Spokesman Matthew Miller said that the US has demanded an investigation into the allegations of election rigging in Pakistan. He stated: ‘Not only in Pakistan but everywhere in the world such allegations should be fully investigated’.
While giving a press briefing in Washington, he added that the coalition government is an internal matter of Pakistan. The decision should be made by Pakistan and not by United States.
US is looking forward to working with the new government coming to Pakistan, he continued to say.
On the other hand, US National Security Spokesperson John Kirby said that allegations of alleged rigging in Pakistan's elections are a concern to the White House.
