KP Governor summons assembly session on Wednesday
The latest reports say that the upcoming session has properly been notified.
Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali has summoned the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly session on Wednesday at eleven in the morning.
It was officially notified in Peshawar.
The independent candidates backed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) secured majority vote in the provincial assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
On the other hand, Governor Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Kakar has summoned the Assembly session on Wednesday at three in the afternoon.
During the session, newly elected members of the Balochistan Assembly will take oath.
The outgoing Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly, Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali, will preside over the session and take the oath from the elected MPAs.
After taking oaths by the newly elected members of the provincial legislature, the schedule for the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker will be announced.
Besides it, Pakistan Peoples Party candidate Syed Owais Qadir Shah took oath as 12th Speaker of Sindh Assembly on Sunday.
The polling was held at assembly session with Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani in the chair.
Out of one hundred and forty-seven, Syed Owais Qadir Shah secured one hundred and eleven votes while MQM nominated candidate Sofia Shah secured thirty-six votes in the polling.
Later, addressing the session as Speaker, Owais Shah said it was his honour to be elected as the speaker of the Assembly that has a grand history.
He expressed his gratitude to the party leaders for reposing trust in him. He also expressed gratitude to the people of Sindh and the people of his constituency for electing and trusting him to represent them in the Assembly.
