Education ministry’s adviser Dr Ayesha Razzaq resigns from post
Dr Ayesha confirmed she had met the HEC chairman after his reinstatement
Islamabad: Federal Education Ministry’s Technical Adviser Dr Ayesha Razzaq has resigned from her post but the Education Ministry has not accepted her resignation till now.
A source of ministry official confirmed that Dr Ayesha had resigned. The official did not reveal reason for the resignation, saying he had no knowledge of any official pressure.
According to the sources, disputes were going on between Dr Ayesha Razzaq and senior officials of the ministry. Dr Ayesha Razzaq was also absent in previous meetings in protest.
The sources also said that the explations was sought from Dr Ayesha for meeting with the HEC chairman. It added that Dr Ayesha opposed against the ministry's policy on the HEC matters and spoke about it.
Dr Ayesha confirmed she had met the HEC chairman after his reinstatement. It is ridiculous that a meeting with a lawfully-restored official was treated as “some act of treason”, said Dr Ayesha.
The sources in Education Ministry confirmed that they have not accepted the resignation of Dr Ayesha and her reservations will be removed.
