Google doodle celebrates Int’l Women’s Day with jovial animated slides
The special Doodle is connected by the common thread of how women and girls show up for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Lahore: Search engine giant Google is celebrating International Women's day with a special picturesque Doodle today (Tuesday).
The Doodle's animated video features women in their diverse roles in society—from homemakers to females working in all kinds of professions and even those who work from home.
Today's Doodle has been illustrated by Doodle Art Director, Thoka Maer and is evolving around the world to give a glimpse into the everyday lives of women across different cultures and jobs.
The animated video begins with a mother who is seen busy in her work on a laptop while also taking care of her child. After clicking on the right arrow, a woman directing a surgery in a hospital, a Muslim woman watering her plants while watching the kids can also be seen.
As the slideshow proceeds, women from different ethnicities, cultures and age groups are seen demonstrating their work efficiently be it fashion designing, farming, or photography and many more.
At the end of the animated video, women of different shapes, sizes, and colours are shown in one frame.
Google also released a statement about the International Women's Day Doodle on their Google Doodle page.
"Today's annual International Women's Day Doodle is an animated slideshow that transports us around the world to give a glimpse into the everyday lives of women across different cultures. From a mother working from home to a motorcycle mechanic teaching her skills to the next generation, each illustration depicted in today's Doodle is connected by the common thread of how women show up for themselves, their families, and their communities," the statement read.
