Another blow to PTI-led government as the voting day on the Opposition's no-trust motion nears.


In a major setback, Federal Minister of Law Faroogh Naseem and Information Minister Amin ul Haq Wednesday have tendered their resignations as Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) pledged support for the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
According to details, the two ministers, who belonged to Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) resigned from the cabinet after the MQM-P has opted to abandon the ruling PTI and join the joint Opposition in opposing Prime Minister Imran Khan’s no-confidence vote.
Naseem and Haque submitted their resignations to the prime minister.
The government has been facing back-to-back blows as the voting day on the Opposition's no-trust motion nears.
Earlier, MQM-P Senator Faisal Subzwari confirmed, first in a tweet and then in an interaction with reporters, that a draft agreement had been finalized and the details will be announced at a press conference at 4pm Wednesday.
