Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday declared unconstitutional the decision of the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly to reject the no-confidence motion.
The SC issued a detailed decision of suo moto against the ruling of the Deputy Speaker. The detailed judgment consists of 86 pages and has been compiled by Chief Justice Umrata Bandial.
The majority decision of the Supreme Court said that the decision of the Deputy Speaker to reject the no-confidence motion was unconstitutional and the order to dissolve the assemblies was declared null and void.
The judgment, written by Chief Justice Omar Ata Bandial, said that the PTI lawyer referred to the letter regarding external interference but did not show the full text of the letter to the court. went.
The detailed judgment of the Supreme Court has taken the position that according to the PTI lawyer, the letter threatened to overthrow the government. The alleged external letter is a secret diplomatic document. In view of diplomatic relations, the court cannot issue an order regarding the letter.
The decision said that the National Security Committee meeting acknowledged external interference in internal affairs, adding that the opposition parties did not conspire in the no-confidence motion.
The decision, written by Chief Justice Omar Ata Bandial, said that no inquiry or investigation had been conducted into the external conspiracy, adding that it was up to the executive to decide on the diplomatic correspondence.
