PM’s new economic team committed to provide relief to common man: Shibli Faraz
Islamabad: Senator Shibli Faraz on Tuesday stated that the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s new economic team would take all possible measures to provide relief to common man.

The Senator in an interview to a private channel said, “Hafeez Sheikh who was appointed to look into the affairs of finance has been restricted to do work relating to finance”.
“Hammad Azhar would strengthen the Prime Minister's economic team and address the issues of inflation,” he added.
While talking about hike in prices of essential items, Shibli Faraz said the Prime Minister is not satisfied with the performance of old economic team.
Hamad Azhar would achieve success in tracking down the inflation so that poor masses could be provided relief in near future.
Earlier yesterday, Prime minister decided to remove Abdul Hafeez Shaikh as Federal Finance minister and appointed Hammad Azhar as a replacement.
Hammad Azhar is currently holding the portfolio of Federal Minister of Industries and Production since 6 April 2020.
Further, Prime Minister Imran Khan has also decided to reshuffle the federal cabinet. Portfolios of several ministers would be changed while new members to be also included in the cabinet.
The move is one of the several reshuffles that the PTI government has done since it came into power.
Federal Information Minister Senator Shibli Faraz while talking to GNN said that the Prime Minister has announced the formation of a new economic team, in which it has been decided to make Hamad Azhar the Finance Minister however Hafeez Sheikh has been removed due to high prices.
Minister further said that the Prime Minister has announced to form a new economic team. Decisions are taken keeping in view the ground realities whereas, by tomorrow, everything will be final.
Whereas, Hammad Azhar while tweeting thanked PM Imran Khan for his trust wrote, “I am honoured to be entrusted with the additional charge of Finance by the Prime Minister”.
