The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) went up by Rs60 per kg to Rs264 per kg as per the new notification issued by the regulator.


Lahore: After increase in the prices of the petroleum products, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Tuesday increased in the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs60 per kg.
The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) went up by Rs60 per kg to Rs264 per kg as per the new notification issued by the regulator.
According to the latest reports, the price of domestic LPG cylinder increased by Rs703 and commercial cylinder went up by Rs2706 after hike in LPG price. The domestic cylinder will now be available at Rs3,115 and commercial cylinder at Rs11,984.
Irfan Khokhar, the chairman of LPG Industries Association of Pakistan, came down hard upon the regulatory authority by calling it a ‘mafia’, said the reportes.
The federal government on January 29 approved increase in the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs35 per litre.
Finance Minister while delivering a message on television said that 11 per cent increase was witnessed in the prices of petrol products in the international market. The minister said that the prices of kerosene oil and light diesel oil had been increased by Rs18 per litre.
The petrol would be priced at Rs249.80, diesel at Rs262.80, kerosene oil at Rs189.83 and light diesel at Rs187 following the latest increase in the prices.
