More than 1,500 items will be available at discounted rates at utility stores
The federal government has announced the Ramazan package for the provision of essential commodities to the masses at reduced rates through the Utility Stores Corporation during the holy month.
Essential items on reduced rates at Utility Stores will be available from April 10.
Under the relief package, 19 essential articles will be available to the public at special discounted rates.
Flour, pulses, dates, rice, ghee and beverages will be provided at discounted rates at Utility Stores Corporation stores.
Under the Ramadan package, a 20 kg bag of flour will cost Rs800, sugar at Rs 68 per kg and ghee at Rs170 per kg.
A discount of Rs50 per kg will be given on tea in Utility Stores whereas a discount of Rs15 per kg will be given on white gram and Rs15 to 30 per kg on pulses.
Under the Ramadan package, discounts will be given on a total of more than 1,500 items at utility stores.
The Ramadan relief package will be implemented at 4,881 utility stores across the country.
