Taking to Twitter, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said her feat of reaching the top of the world's 10th highest mountain underscores the fact that our women are capable of achieving any milestone in life.

He wrote, “Congratulations to Ms. Naila Kiani on being the first Pakistani woman to summit the 8091m high Annapurana I mountain in Nepal. Her feat of reaching the top of the world's 10th highest mountain underscores the fact that our women are capable of achieving any milestone in life,”.

A day earlier Pakistani climbers Shehroze Kashif and Naila Kiani successfully ascended the world’s 10th highest mountain in Nepal this morning hoisting the country’s flag on Mount Annapurna one.

Secretary of Alpine Club of Pakistan Karrar Haidri said Shehroze has become the youngest mountaineer in the world to summit eleven peaks above 8000 meters, while Naila has become the first Pakistani woman to climb Annapurna.
