Additional Sessions Judge Humayun Dilawar fixed the hearing at 11:30am.


Islamabad: The Tosha Khana criminal case will be heard in the Islamabad District and Sessions Court today (Thursday) at 11:30 am.
According to details, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) lawyer Sher Afazl Marwat appeared before the sessions court who said that lawyer Gohar Ali will appear in court at 11:30am.
Lawyer Sher Afzal requested that the hearing to be held at that time. Responding to which Additional Sessions Judge Humayun Dilawar fixed the hearing at 11:30am.
It is pertinent to note that yesterday (Wednesday) the court also issued personal summons notices to Chairman PTI and fixed the case for hearing today after the decision of Islamabad High Court (IHC).
IHC had ordered the Sessions Court to hear the concerns of Chairman PTI within seven days and decide whether the case is admissible or not.
In the judgment of the trial court, former Prime Minister's plea had been rejected in which it was stated that the criminal proceedings being conducted by the Sessions Court in the Tosha Khana case is not cognizable.
These objections were raised on technical grounds that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) filed this complaint when it is not the competent authority. If the competent authority files the complaint, the Sessions Court has the power to try it, the petition added.
