The aide of the prime minister says that August 12 is the last day of the federal government, and elections will be held thereafter

Lahore: Atta Tarar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, said that PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif would soon return to the country and lead the election campaign.
Tarar appeared before the court of first-class magistrate Muhammad Asif in Ali Pur Chatha in relation to a physical brawl with policemen during elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). He is required to appear in court again on August 15.
Speaking outside the court, Tarar mentioned that August 12 marked the last day of the federal government, and elections would be held thereafter. He added that Nawaz Sharif would also oversee matters related to party tickets.
Tarar further emphasized that they were not hiding behind stay orders or excuses, and they were actively participating in the court proceedings. He expressed confidence that the baseless case against him would be resolved soon.
Tarar criticized political opponents, stating that they only spoke grandly but lacked practical actions, citing Fawad Chaudhry's behavior in court as an example.
Regarding imprisoned party members, Tarar claimed that those who unjustly detained innocent individuals were now facing the consequences. He also highlighted the positive development of a Russian oil deal, noting that it would be available after necessary processing.
On other hand, Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal, expressed that Nawaz Sharif, the leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), was unjustly disqualified as a result of a conspiracy.
Speaking to the media, Minister Iqbal announced his upcoming visit to China to participate in a special session commemorating the ten-year milestone of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). During his visit, he intends to hold meetings with Chinese leadership to discuss the future of CPEC and explore the potential benefits it holds for both Pakistan and China.
Minister Iqbal emphasized that CPEC, which previously played a crucial role in Pakistan's development, would continue to be a vital component in the country's progress. He further stated that the true identities of those responsible for orchestrating the conspiracy to disqualify Nawaz Sharif have now been exposed.
