Lahore: Pakistan surpasses brazil and become the fifth-largest population in the world as every year the country’s population is increasing by 2.4% and annually, 11,000 mothers lose their lives during childbirth.

Report claimed that Pakistan's population was expanding more quickly than any other Asian nation.
The council emphasized that every year in Pakistan, 11,000 mothers pass away while giving birth, and 62 out of every 1,000 children pass away before turning one.
Every mother in Pakistan gave birth to four children on average, and the survey stated that 40% of Pakistani youngsters suffer from malnutrition and 29% are underweight.
It further added that 18 percent of all the children under five years of age were not growing, the council said in the report, adding Pakistan would need more than 100 million jobs and 20 million houses by 2040.
The council added that Pakistan is experiencing a serious water deficit as a result of an increase in population.
One out of every three Pakistani youngsters was not attending school, and the country will need 85,000 additional elementary schools by 2040.
While the population of Pakistan is growing rapidly, India and Bangladesh have managed to control it.
The council said only 34 out of 100 couples in Pakistan used contraceptives, while on an average, every married couple in Pakistan had one unplanned child.
Furthermore, in Pakistan, 12% of those between the ages of 20 and 24 are unemployed.
