As per the report, prices of 30 essential commodities is increased.


Lahore: The overall inflation rate in the country has surged by 29%, as reported by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, which released weekly inflation figures.
During the course of one week, the price of sugar increased by Rs. 6.30, turning the sweetness of life bitter for the public. The weekly basis inflation rate has reached 29.16%, according to the statistics released.
The report from the Statistics Department revealed that the prices of 30 essential commodities have increased. The price of sugar saw a rise of Rs. 6.63.
Furthermore, the report mentioned that tomatoes became costlier at Rs. 26.32 per kilogram.
The price of a dozen eggs witnessed an increase of Rs. 11.07.
As per the report, the price of an LPG cylinder rose to Rs. 13.57.
On the other hand, there was a moderate decrease in the prices of 9 items, including onions, flour, chicken, oil, and stability in the prices of 12 items.
The escalating inflation rate continues to burden the common man, with prices surging relentlessly.
