Rasheed says, "This was the worst time for criminal activities, brutality, and politics of retaliation."

Rawalpindi: Awami Muslim League (AML) chief and former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed on Sunday has claimed that throughout the past 15 months, the government not only breached the law and the constitution, but also deprived the people of their means of existence.
He said on Twitter that the government shocked 230 million people with 440 volts of power and hiked the cost of electricity to Rs50 per basic unit with only 23 days remaining.
“How the people, who are drawing salary of Rs35,000-50,000, will pay the electricity bill of Rs15,000-20,000?” Rasheed added.
Rasheed said now electricity, gas, flour and sugar were out of the people’s reach.
Instead of providing them with relief, the current government did all possible in 15 months to cause the people pain. Human rights were violated, women and children were taken away from their families, and innocent people were imprisoned. He continued, "This was the worst time for criminal activities, brutality, and politics of retaliation."
According to Mr. Rasheed, the government's final 20 days will generate fresh news stories. The former federal minister predicted that the PDM would split up shortly and that its allies would soon be facing off against one another as they ran for office using their separate party's (electoral) insignia.
The former minister claimed that "every government claims that it has no Allahdin's Lamp." "The entire burden will fall on the public," said Mr. Rasheed, "when there will be an 85-member cabinet, new vehicles worth billions of rupees will be purchased, and over 50 pointless and useless foreign trips will be undertaken."
