French Ambassador calls on CM Punjab Naqvi

Lahore: Punjab caretaker chief minister Mohsin Naqvi called on French Ambassador Nicolas Galle in which the discussion of issues of shared interest, the encouragement of bilateral cooperation, and the expansion of cooperation across a number of disciplines.

The meeting resulted in an agreement to enhance bilateral collaboration in the areas of education, tourism, historical site preservation, and information technology.

CM Naqvi praised Pakistan and France's outstanding relations and thanked the ambassador for France's support during the coronavirus pandemic.

He stated that there was a need to sustainably strengthen trade and economic ties between the two nations. Naqvi mentioned that the Punjab has a very welcoming the environment for investment and that there are few French companies operating there.

The chief minister stated that the French investors should take advantage of the investment prospects in Punjab and that they would be given the necessary amenities.

The CM stated that trade delegation exchanges might boost bilateral trade and that a delegation from French educational institutions would be welcomed in Punjab. He also revealed that in the 1970s, he enrolled in a French language course at the French Cultural Centre in Lahore.

The French ambassador announced that a group from French academic institutes would shortly travel to Punjab. For the conservation of tourist destinations and historical sites, the French government will continue to work with the Punjabi government, and this partnership would be further promoted.
