Twitter's new logo introduced

Washington DC: Twitter has introduced an alternative to the famous bird logo of the social media platform.

According to details, an image of Twitter's new logo was posted in a tweet by Twitter chief executive Linda Yaccarino.

‘X’ is seen in the new logo of Twitter, while Elon Musk has also changed his profile image with this logo and added X.com in his Twitter bio.

This is the biggest change in the app since Elon Musk took over in October 2022.

Notably, Elon Musk has long wanted to turn Twitter into a super app X and the logo change has been done for that reason.

Earlier on July 23, Elon Musk said: ‘Very soon we will say goodbye to the Twitter brand and all the birds’ adding that if the X logo goes well, it will be posted on the night of July 23 and will go live on July 24.

After this change, Twitter will no longer be an independent company, but will be part of a new company, X Corporation.

Twitter Chief Executive Linda Yaccarino said in another tweet: “Twitter made one massive impression and changed the way we communicate”.

She added that, now, X will go further, transforming the global town square.

It is pertinent to note that Twitter's blue bird logo was made part of social media platform as a tribute to Larry Bird, a basketball star.

Twitter co-founder Buzz Stone named the bird Larry, and now his tenure is coming to an end soon.

Since the purchase, Elon Musk has made several changes in the platform, in which the Twitter Blue service is noteworthy.

Earlier In April, Twitter's traditional logo was temporarily replaced with a Doggy Coin dog logo.
