Punjab govt announces Ashura holidays
The holidays will take place on July 28 and 29.

Lahore: Punjab government has issued the notification of Ashura holidays stating that Muharram 09 and 10 will be public holidays across the province.
Like the rest of the world, Ashura Day is celebrated with devotion and respect in Pakistan.
According to the notification, all provincial government offices will be closed for two days during Ashura holidays.
It is pertinent to note that federal government has already announced holidays on 9th and 10th of Muharram on Ashura while the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has also announced bank holidays.
The holidays will take place on July 28 and 29.
