Syed Murad Ali Shah has acknowledged that the Sindh martyrs package falls short compared to the one offered in Punjab.


Kandhkot: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah took a significant step to enhance the capabilities of the Police personnel deployed in Katcha, Kandhkot.
Syed Murad Ali Shah announced a special allowance for them and ensured the provision of modern weapons to tackle the prevailing security challenges in the region.
Addressing the issue of security in the area, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah acknowledged that the Sindh martyrs package falls short compared to the one offered in Punjab. However, he assured that efforts would be made to balance it soon.
The Chief Minister expressed concern over the audacity of dacoits who, after facing defeat, resorted to abducting innocent children. He noted that these criminals are deliberately targeting individuals who can potentially become headline news on TV channels, hoping to intimidate the police force into stepping back.
Asserting his commitment to restore peace in the region, Murad Ali Shah confidently stated that the Kashmore area will be cleansed of dacoits within a span of 10 days. He recalled the dire state of lawlessness in the region back in 2007 when people had to travel in groups due to the complete control of dacoits over Sukkur and Jacobabad areas.
Providing an update on the ongoing operation in the Katcha areas of four districts (Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kandhkot-Kashmore, and Ghotki), Sindh Inspector General (IG) Police Ghulam Nabi Memon revealed that 67 dacoits had been killed, and 68 others arrested. He emphasized the commitment of the provincial government to extend full cooperation by providing funds, weapons, gadgets, vehicles, and intelligence services to support the operation.
