Lahore: The joint investigation team (JIT) on Tuesday set up to investigate the Jinnah House attack has once again summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman for inquiry.
The JIT asked that the PTI chairman appear on August 4. The JIT has called the PTI leader to appear in all cases listed, including one that was reported to the Sarwar Road police station.
The JIT has now called the PTI chairman Imran Khan fourth time. According to details, he has only once appeared before the JIT.
In an effort to protest the detention of their party's chairman Imran Khan on May 9, some PTI members and workers allegedly attacked the Jinnah House after entering the area.
In the Jinnah House attack case, 50% of suspects, including the main accused, are still at large, according to police records.
In the cases connected to the Jinnah House attack during the May 9 riots, law enforcement agencies have not yet apprehended 50% of the suspects, including the main accused.
According to Lahore police records, only 151 suspects were arrested who carried out vandalism inside the Jinnah House, whereas, only 425 out of 1400 suspects were arrested who spread chaos outside the building.
The authorities were able to identify 915 suspects who participated in rallies outside the Jinnah House, according to the records, but 185 people who committed mischief within the building remain unidentified.
