The federal minister for information and broadcasting says the interim government will assume power after their departure.

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the incumbent government would step down after a week.
Marriyum Aurangzeb expressed gratitude for the 15 months of service to the country and highlighted the significance of the SIFC in boosting the country's economy.
She said that the interim government would assume power following their departure.
Taking a dig at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), she accused the previous government of pushing the country towards default and violating agreements with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). However, she commended Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for re-establishing the agreement with the IMF.
Regarding the recent increase in petroleum products' prices, the minister clarified that it was necessary due to the global price surge. She pledged to navigate the country through the ongoing economic crisis.
