In Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Lahore, Chitral, Dir, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, and Nowshera isolated heavy falls are expected from the evening or night of August 2 to August 7 with short breaks.
The PMD predicts rain or wind-thundershowers in the districts of Kurram, Lakki Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Waziristan, and south Punjab from August 4 (evening/night) to August 7 (sometimes with pauses).
The water flow in local Nullahs and streams in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Manshera, Abbottabad, and Rawalpindi/Islamabad may increase due to heavy rainfall from August 4 to 7.
Furthermore, From August 4 to 7, heavy rains may cause urban floods in low-lying districts of Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Gujranwala, and Lahore.
Meanwhile, they may also produce landslides in sensitive regions including Galliyat, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and hilly areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
