Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has rejected the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) schedule for delimitations on Thursday.

According to details, PTI has made the decision to appeal the Council of Common Interests (CCI) rulings in Supreme Court tomorrow.

The ECP is required by the constitution to hold elections 90 days after dissolving assemblies, according to a PTI spokeswoman.

The commission intends to violate the constitution, as it did in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and is doing so with the ECP schedule, which is a criminal attempt to prolong the tenure of the caretaker government.

Earlier, the Election Commission Pakistan (ECP) has claimed that general elections in the country cannot be held in 90 days.

The chief election commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja presided over a meeting of the ECP when it was decided to undertake new delimitations throughout the Pakistan.

According to details, the Election Commission of Pakistan has chosen to hold the future general election on the census of 2023.

The commission must carry out the delimitation procedure, according to the ECP. The first publishing is expected on October 9, and the last one will appear on December 14.

The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) and the provincial governments will be consulted in the delimitation process, the ECP meeting determined.
