WhatsApp Web rolls out screen lock feature
The post added that the password will keep the app away from unauthorized access.

California: WhatsApp Web application has introduced a screen lock feature to provide better security to users so that messages cannot be accessed by unauthorized persons.
Currently this feature will be available only for WhatsApp Web Beta users. With the new feature, unauthorized persons will not be able to access the app.
The screen lock feature was announced last year but has now been officially launched, with the Meta-owned company stating that the upgrade is currently only available to beta program users.
“We shared an article last year about the screen lock option, which told that a feature is coming to WhatsApp Desktop Beta,” it said in its blog post.
The post added that the password will keep the app away from unauthorized access, WhatsApp has released this feature to beta users after long testing.
