Islamabad: Pakistan and Azerbaijan have expressed a strong commitment to enhancing economic and trade cooperation, following a meeting between the Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce, Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, and the Ambassador of Azerbaijan.
The meeting, held at the Office of the Coordinator in Kohsar Block, focused on implementing a trade and economic roadmap aimed at strengthening bilateral ties. Both sides emphasized the importance of fostering people-to-people and business-to-business connections as a foundation for long-term cooperation.
The discussions highlighted the need to attract and protect private sector investment, recognizing it as a sustainable pathway for economic growth. Potential opportunities in the aviation sector were also explored, with a view to facilitating future collaboration.
Representatives from Kitchen Cuisine, a Pakistani company, were present at the meeting, signaling growing interest from Pakistan's private sector in pursuing cross-border business partnerships and investment opportunities.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides reaffirming their intent to strengthen economic linkages, deepen bilateral cooperation, and open new avenues for mutually beneficial investment.
