Lahore: Following a tragic incident in Lahore, a 25-year old woman was brutally killed after she rejected marriage proposals of his friends. Punjab police arrested two prime suspects.

Police officials stated that the maid who used to work in the house found her body in bed room.
Police reached the spot after getting information and shifted the deceased to a nearby hospital for a forensic examination.
As per initial postmortem report, the deceased had been shot on her neck and arm. Bruises were also found on her right hand and left foot.
Moreover, the victim identified as Mahira had arrived from the UK two months back and shared the upper portion of the rented house with a friend.
Both friends were living together in adjoining room.
On complaint of deceased’s uncle, police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against two men on murder charges.
According to the FIR, the suspects identified as Saad and Zahir had been forcing Mahira to marry them but she had outright refused to marry either of them.
A case has been lodged against two suspects over the death of dual national woman and they are being questioned for the time being. While Raids are being conducted to arrest other involved men.
Due to travel restrictions amid Covid-19 pandemic, the deceased's family was unable to travel to Pakistan immediately.
