Chief Justice Aamer Farooq remarked that some time can be given but not two weeks.
The Islamabad High Court granted a two-day extension to the Election Commission's lawyer for preparation.
Imran Khan's legal team raised concerns over not being granted permission to meet the client.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq responded that an appropriate order will be issued after reviewing the situation.
Sardar Latif Khosa opposed granting more time to the Election Commission's lawyer, stating that it would be an excessive delay.
He argued that his client's sentence is only 3 years, and his basic rights are being violated in jail.
Lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat stated that they have not been allowed to meet the PTI Chairman.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq questioned why the meeting was prevented if the court order had been issued.
He assured me that he will pass an order in this regard. Subsequently, the court adjourned the case for further hearing until August 24.
