Amazon adds Pakistan to the approved selling countries list
Islamabad: Adviser to Prime Minister for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood on Thursday announced that the US e-commerce giant Amazon will add Pakistan to its approved seller list within a few days.
On his official twitter handle, Abdul Razaq expressed satisfaction over the huge achievement gained by Pakistan and wrote, “We have finally made it. Amazon will be adding Pakistan its Sellers’ List within a few days”.
“We have been engaged with Amazon since last year and now it’s happening. It is a great opportunity for our youth, SMEs and women entrepreneurs,” he added.
Adviser to Imran Khan appreciated the efforts of concerned people and wrote, “An important milestone of e-Commerce policy achieved has been through teamwork by many people across the globe”.

Meanwhile, Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Political Affairs, Shahbaz Gill also turned to twitter and expressed gratification over the news.
Crediting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government , he wrote “What could not be done during the last 10 years in the history of Pakistan, has finally been achived by the present government.”
“AMAZON has added Pakistan to its seller list,” he added.
He further added that with this achievement, Pakistan has joined the global market and will create billions of investment and employment opportunities.
“Thank you Imran Khan,” he concluded.

Reportedly, Pakistan has received approval from Amazon to register itself in the verified seller list. The tech giant has also registered an office in Pakistan under the name ‘Amazon Data Services Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd’. However, Pakistan’s products will now be available to millions of consumers globally.
