Important meeting of SIFC Apex Committee today
The committee will consider the investment projects of Gulf countries and China.
Islamabad: An important meeting of the Apex Committee of Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) will be held today (Monday).
According to details, investment projects in the country by the Gulf countries and China will be discussed in the meeting.
In addition to the caretaker chief ministers and federal ministers of the four provinces, top military officials will also participate in the meeting chaired by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwawr-ul-Haq Kakar.
Introductory briefing will be given to caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq and cabinet members. The committee will consider the investment projects of Gulf countries and China, while the recommendations of the executive and implementation committees will be presented to the apex committee.
It may be noted that the former government had released a comprehensive strategy of ‘economic recovery’ in a high-level meeting, which aims to revive the country's economy by utilizing its unused resources in key sectors and benefiting from investment from friendly countries.
In the first meeting of ‘Special Investment Facilitation Council’ established to remove obstacles in the way of foreign investment under the chairmanship of former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif last month (July), the Chief of Army Staff, Chief Ministers, Federal and Provincial Ministers and senior government officials participated.
According to the declaration, the original potential of Pakistan in the fields of agriculture, livestock, minerals, mining, information technology, energy and agricultural production will be utilized under the project. The investments from various countries will be increased.
