Lahore; An anti-terrorism court (ATC) granted the police physical remand of several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, including Yasmin Rashid, in different cases of May 9 riots on Monday.
In a case involving an attack on the Shadman police station, Judge Ejaz Ahmad Buttar ordered the police a three-day physical remand of PTI-Punjab President Dr. Yasmin Rashid, former Senior Provincial Minister Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed, Senator Ijaz Chaudhry, and five other individuals.
The inquiry officer claimed during the hearing that Senator Ejaz Chaudhry, Yasmin Rashid, and Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed were all implicated in the rebellion.

Moreover, Judge Ejaz Ahmad Buttar also approved the three-day physical custody of 68 suspects, including activists Sanam Javed and Tayyaba Raja, former MNA Alia Hamza, and fashion designer Khadija Shah in the Corpse Commander house attack case.
The investigating officer further informed the court that the prosecution department had been given the challan against the suspects for review.
Under sections 121 (waging or attempting to wage a war or aiding in the waging of war against Pakistan), 131 (aiding mutiny), and 146 (rioting), the police have added new offenses in all of the May 9 instances to the FIRs.
Earlier May 9 riots, Violent clashes broke out across Pakistan after the former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan were arrested at the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday.
The protests were held in remote and major cities as the party workers were agitated due to their chairman’s arrest, with Balochistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad summoning the armed forces to ensure law and order.
Army installations and Corps Commander’s house in Lahore came under attack during a protest by PTI workers.
