The prosecution presented his evidence, claiming that Islamabad police required Elahi in a case that was filed in March.

Islamabad: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad approved a two-day physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in a case pertaining to an attack on Judicial Complex Islamabad on Wednesday.
After the ATC declared the verdict to be reserved, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) officers arrested him.
Elahi's attorney, Ali Bukhari, asked the court at today's proceedings in ATC to disregard any reference of interrogation in the police's request for physical remand.
“What did the investigating officer do in 24 hours?” Elahi’s counsel implored. “The police have nothing to investigate. The court will have to see if there is really a need for a probe against Parvez Elahi.”
In addition, Bukhari asserted in court that Shah Mahmood Qureshi was represented by him in the same case and that Qureshi's bail had been confirmed. The attorney said, "There is no need for an identification parade as everyone in the nation is aware of Parvez Elahi's identity.
The prosecution presented his evidence, claiming that Islamabad police required Elahi in a case that was filed in March.
“Evidence needs to be collected. The informant told the plaintiff that Parvez Elahi was involved (in attack on the judicial complex),” the prosecutor said adding that physical remand of the PTI president was necessary.
Elahi’s counsel filed a contempt of court petition in the IHC against his client’s arrest.
Earlier, the former Punjab Chief Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Chaudhary Pervez Elahi was re-arrested after his release in light of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) orders on Tuesday.
The sources said that Chaudhary Pervez Elahi was arrested from the main road outside the Islamabad police.
