In the 1965 war, the valiant Pakistani pilots despite limited resources not only repelled Indian air attacks but also handed India a resounding defeat, displaying unparalleled expertise in aerial combat and unwavering courage.
The PAF ace Squadron Leader Muhammad Mahmood Alam, commonly known as M.M.Alam, shot down five Indian Air Force Hawker Hunter Mk. 56 fighters in less than a minute.
Proud successors and commanders like Air Marshal Asghar Khan and Air Marshal Noor Khan adopted a successful battle strategy.
On the other hand, martyrs like Squadron Leader Sir Faraz Rafiqi and Squadron Leaders Munir-ud-Din and Ala-ud-Sin also proved that sacrificing their lives for the sanctity of the country is not a costly transaction.
