ANF seizes 134 kg drugs in five operations
Separate cases have been registered against the accused.
Rawalpindi: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) while conducting five operations in different areas of the country managed to recover over 134 kg of drugs and arrested 10 accused, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman here on Tuesday.
He informed that ANF recovered 72 kg hashish, 48 kg opium, 3 kg Ice drug and 1 kg heroin from a car intercepted near Kot Abdul Malik Interchange Multan. Two accused residents of Peshawar were sent behind bars.
In a joint operation conducted by ANF and Ranger in Lahore, 4650 grams of heroin were recovered and four accused were netted.
In another operation, 01 kg of Ice drug was recovered from the possession of a passenger rounded up in Multan. An accused resident of Chaghi who was trying to smuggle drugs from Quetta to Multan was arrested.
In the fifth operation conducted in D.G. Khan, 1 kg of Ice drug was recovered from the possession of two accused residents of Qilla Abdullah and Peshawar.
Separate cases have been registered against the accused while further investigations are under process, he added.
