I called Babar, but he was not able to talk: Babar Azam's father
I told Babar that brave men win or learn but never break: Azam Siddiqui
Lahore: After Pakistan's dramatic exit from the Asia Cup due to a narrow defeat to Sri Lanka, emotions are running high not only among cricket fans but also within the national cricket team, as revealed by Azam Siddiqui, the father of Pakistan's captain, Babar Azam, in his recent Instagram post.
In his heartfelt post, Azam Siddiqui expressed, "Half of the players played the entire match yesterday, and the team lost with a four on the last ball."
He emphasized the team's fighting spirit, even with several players battling injuries.
"Winning is a part of cricket, but the team fought fully despite being half. Inshallah, it will be fun when everyone is fit in the World Cup," he added optimistically.
Reflecting on the significance of intention and heart in sports, Siddiqui wrote, "If you look at the competitions, Allah only sees what is done with the intention and the heart, whether he accepts it or not, He is the master. It is patriotism."
Siddiqui concluded his post by sharing a touching moment with his son, Babar Azam, revealing, "I just spoke to Babar; he was not able to speak. I told him that brave men win or learn but never break."
