Islamabad: The District and Sessions Court Islamabad Wednesday also issued a notice to Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan in the case of illegal marriage against Bushra Bibi and sought his response.

Rizwan Abbasi filed an appeal to adjourn the hearing without proceeding and it was said that preparation for the arguments on the plea of jurisdiction has to be prepared for which time is required.

He also said in his petition that we will give arguments after the arguments on PTI lawyers’ jurisdiction request.

On the other hand, defense lawyer Naeem Panjotha also filed a request for exemption from the presence of Bushra Bibi saying that court has approved the appeal for permanent exemption from the presence of Imran Khan’s wife.

Judge Qudratullah remarked that Bushra's presence would be necessary if the matter of indictment came up, while lawyer Naeem Panjotha said Sher Afzal Marwat would argue on the plea of jurisdiction.

The learned judge stated: “The arguments of both the parties will be heard together on the same date, you should also submit the decisions of different courts before your arguments”.

The petitioner's lawyer, Naeem added that request is to give a shorter date for the next hearing. Responding to which judge Qudratullah said the hearing will be adjourned till Monday, and the parties should present their arguments together.
