Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood found guilty in cypher case
The FIA has appealed in the challan submitted to the court that Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood be tried and punished.
Islamabad: In a major development in the cypher case, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Saturday declared Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and vice-chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi guilty.
According to details, the FIA submitted the official secret act challan related to the case in the special court in which former Prime Minister Imran Khan and former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi have been declared guilty.
The FIA has appealed in the challan submitted to the court that Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood be tried and punished.
It is reported that Asad Umar is not included in the list of accused of FIA while former Principal Secretary Azam Khan has become a witness of FIA whose statement 161 and 164 is attached with the challan.
The challan said that the chairman PTI kept the cypher and misused the state secret. The copy of the cypher reached the chairman PTI but was not returned.
According to the challan submitted in the special court, Foreign Secretary Asad Majeed and former Foreign Secretary Sohail Mehmood are also among the witnesses. Besides them, Additional Foreign Secretary Faisal Niaz Tirmizi is also among the FIA witnesses. From the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the prime minister, the whole of China has been included as witnesses.
