Sale of petroleum products extremely declines since COVID-19
According to experts, this is the lowest sale of petroleum products after the Corona outbreak.
Islamabad: The extremely high prices of petroleum products have clearly affected its sales in Pakistan.
According to the data released by Oil Companies Advisory Council (OCAC), sales of petroleum products have decreased by 25 percent in September compared to August.
According to OCAC, only one million tons of petroleum products were sold during September.
Sales of electricity-generating furnace oil have fallen by 61 percent.
According to experts, this is the lowest sale of petroleum products after the Corona outbreak.
It is pertinent to note that government has reduced the price of petroleum products by Rs11 from October 1. However earlier on September 15, the price of petrol was increased by a record Rs26, reaching Rs332.
As of October 15, the price of petrol in the country is Rs323.38 per liter.
