Dollar dips below Rs280 mark after 5 months
As the rupee's value strengthens, the Pakistan stock market experiences significant growth.
Karachi: In Pakistan, the dollar's value against the rupee is witnessing a downward trend for the 24th consecutive session.
At the beginning of the business day, the buying and selling of the dollar continued at Rs279.51 after a decrease of Rs1 in the domestic exchange markets.
Following the crackdown on smugglers and hoarders, the value of the Pakistani rupee continues to appreciate, which is pushing the dollar down.
It should be noted that the value of the dollar was recorded at Rs280.51 in the interbank yesterday.
On the other hand, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued to see brisk business on Wednesday.
PSX 100 index increased by 203 points to 48343 which closed at 48140 points yesterday.
