Hamas declares no release of Israeli prisoners until ceasefire
50 hostages were killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza: Abu Hamid.
Gaza: The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, has declared that it will not release Israeli prisoners until a ceasefire agreement is reached.
The announcement comes as part of the broader efforts to address the hostilities in the region.
Hamas leader Abu Hamid conveyed this stance, emphasizing that the release of Israeli prisoners hinges on a ceasefire agreement.
He also noted that time would be needed to trace all individuals involved in the October 7 attacks, further complicating the prisoner release issue.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported that Hamas has taken 229 people hostage and transferred them to Gaza.
Additionally, Abu Hamid disclosed that 50 hostages have lost their lives as a result of Israeli airstrikes on Gaza.
